US Policy landscape with Bruno Pigott, Executive Director, WateReuse Association
Join WSAA for a timely and practical look at the US policy landscape on water reuse, data centres and policy settings. Hosted by Adam Lovell and Danielle Francis, this session will host Bruno Pigott, Executive Director of the WateReuse Association to unpack how the US is advancing reuse at scale. From established potable reuse schemes and state-based regulatory frameworks to real-world examples of data centres being serviced by recycled water, the conversation will explore what is mature, what is evolving, and what Australia can learn as demand accelerates.
The webinar will dive into the US Water Reuse Action Plan (WRAP 2.0) as a national model, funding and regulatory frameworks such as Title XVI and WIFIA, and the growing role of recycled water in supporting industrial growth including chips, data centres and energy infrastructure. Participants will also hear how US utilities and policymakers are positioning water reuse as an economic enabler, supporting a legislative bill for a 30% federal tax credit for industrial water reuse, and engaging with initiatives like the Water-AI Nexus. Designed as a learning session for Australian policy agencies, regulators and utilities, the session will give unique insights from the coalface of the water reuse landscape in the USA.
