This appraisal is for a range of Steel Mains mild steel pipe and fittings. This Issue 2 is a replacement for the previous version of the appraisal which had reached its 5-year expiry date.
Steel Mains SINTAKOTE® steel pipe and fittings are available in sizes ranging from 168mm OD to 2500mm OD for steel pipe and 114mm OD to 2500mm OD for steel pipe fittings, with wall thicknesses ranging from 4.5mm to 20mm and with pressure ratings up to 6.8MPa. SINTAKOTE pipe is supplied in standard lengths of 6, 9, 12.2 or 13.5 metres, or as requested by customers. Fittings are made to specific designs and lengths based on customer design requirements.
SINTAKOTE steel pipe and fittings are available with SINTAKOTE fusion bonded polyethylene (FBPE) coating and either FBPE lining or cement mortar lining. A limited range of alternative coatings and linings can also be provided on request.
Jointing systems include: SINTAJOINT® rubber ring joint (RRJ), SINTALOCK® Type I and Type II welded restrained rubber ring joints, spherical slip-in joint (SSJ), ball and socket joint (BSJ), butt joint with collar, plain butt joint, coupling ends and flanged joints.
