A workshop on Managing Mental Health, a joint initiative by WSAA's People and Culture and Health and Safety Networks, will be held on the 1 December in Melbourne.
Workshop participants will hear from speakers from Beyond Blue, Energy Networks Australia, Mates In Construction and WSAA members, and have an opportunity to share leading practices, engage with external stakeholders and recommend future actions and priorities.
This workshop aims to:
- Identify and discuss key strategic issues in mental health
- Share current practices (establish the foundations for industry collaboration)
- Develop a common understanding for managing mental health
- Receive updates from external organisations (Beyondblue and Mates In Construction)
- Learn from other industries
- Explore the merits of developing an industry blueprint for mental health or an industry framework/ guidelines, and
- Develop an ongoing industry work program: identify key areas for collaboration and other possible initiatives
