This Appraisal applies to a range of polymeric coated and lined ductile iron fittings manufactured to AS/NZS 2280:2014 Ductile iron pipes and fittings. It includes traditional PN16 and PN35 fittings in sizes DN 80 to DN 250 (denoted as Series G1) and PN16 and PN20 lightweight fittings in sizes DN 100 and DN 150 (denoted as Series G2).
The sockets are T-type supplied with dual hardness EPDM gaskets and flanges comply with AS/NZS 4087 Figure B5 PN16. The fittings are coated and lined with fusion bonded epoxy applied by the fluidised bed technique.
