In July, we successfully launched First Nations Clean Water and Sanitation Network, with the inaugural meeting hosted by SA Water in Adelaide.

This new Network aims to foster collaboration among WSAA members who deliver essential water and wastewater services to First Nations communities across Australia.

The First Nations Clean Water and Sanitation Network serves as a platform for members to share ideas, cooperate, and address the unique challenges of providing water and wastewater services to regional and remote First Nations communities. The meeting focused on identifying priorities and setting actionable goals to enhance service delivery.

Leading this initiative is Noongar man Taylor Hayward, WSAA's First Nations Lead, alongside Network Chair Rachael Miller from Water Corporation. Together, they look forward to welcoming more members, especially First Nations individuals, to join and contribute to the Network. The inaugural meeting included representatives from SA Water, Power and Water, Water Corporation, Wannon Water, Redlands City Council and the NSW Water Directorate.

WSAA extends our gratitude to SA Water, Power and Water Corporation, and Water Corporation for their unwavering support of the First Nations Water Program to closing the gap. This collaboration marks a significant step towards ensuring sustainable and equitable water services for First Nations communities.
