WSAA welcomes the opportunity to respond to the preliminary advice from the Independent Reviewer on economic regulation, governance and efficiency in the Victorian water sector. WSAA agrees that there are opportunities to improve economic regulation of urban water. WSAA has partnered with Frontier Economics to identify best practice. This submission shares some of the insights from that study including governance, independent economic regulation, price or cost regulation, customer consultation and transparency and integration with the broader reform path.
