The New Zealand water industry is going through a huge reform. In 2020 the government announced that delivery of water services would transition away from the current 67 local Councils, over to four Water Services Entities across the country.
WSAA has reaffirmed its commitment to the United Nations Global Compact and to the ten principles in relation to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, which underpin the accord. The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative and has established the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Over the past two years, W-Lab has provided members with the opportunity to learn and explore new technologies, with further collaboration on field trial demonstrations of selected few technologies.
